Let's start from the end...

Hello everyone! The purpose of this blog is quite precise: to share with you the complete Volume 2 of the original Terranigma manga (Tenchi Sōzō). My name is León, but you can call me Riblast. I'm from Argentina, English is my second language, and I have no knowledge of Japanese. Thanks to the incredible advancements in AI over the past 12 months, I was able to accomplish this initial translation. The entire process has been (and continues to be) very exciting. As a fan of the Heaven and Earth Trilogy, I have been eagerly awaiting a translation of Volume 2 of the manga, which I believe was originally used to promote the video game. We now know how unfairly time treated Terranigma, and even more so with this humble manga that I will begin sharing with you today, chapter by chapter.

But!
Before we dive into the chapters, I want to start by sharing the translation of the afterword letter that concluded Volume 1. The team at Glacial Rebellion (responsible for generously translating the first volume) couldn't decipher it at the time due to the poor handwriting. I decided to start here for several reasons:

1. I'm sure I wasn't the only one curious about what that darn letter said... -w-
2. It seemed only fair to finish translating Volume 1 before moving on to Volume 2.
3. It's interesting to read the original mangaka, Mamiko Yasaka's words, about the creation process of this manga, their expectations, and thoughts back then, etc.
4. It will allow you to personally evaluate the power that ChatGPT brings to facilitate such a challenging process. While the Japanese scans surfaced on Reddit at the end of 2022 (thanks to user rinomander!), I couldn't have done this work a year ago when the development of artificial intelligence had not yet opened up to the world.

Well, this is getting long, so I'll wrap it up. I'm leaving the letter here (in both English and Spanish) for you to enjoy (pay attention to all the details!). We'll see each other very soon with Chapter 7: "Sacred Summit."

Riblast

P.S.: Needless to say, I do not own the rights to this work. This is a non-profit project created by a fan for fans. I am aware that my translation is not perfect. This is merely the starting point for others, more skilled than me, to achieve a good translation with the original material. If anyone is interested in the JP scans, feel free to reach out to me!
